Messaging Privacy Policy
Last updated: July 14, 2026 · CROP STACK LLC, 1701 Heim Road, Mount Dora, FL 32757, USA
This policy describes how CropStack ("CropStack," "we," "us") collects, uses, and protects information in connection with our WhatsApp and text-messaging service — the CropStack AgChem+ inventory assistant (the "Messaging Service"). It supplements the CropStack Privacy Policy available inside the CropStack application.
1. What the Messaging Service is
The Messaging Service lets CropStack account holders log and manage agricultural chemical inventory by messaging with CropStack — for example, texting "Used 5 gallons of Roundup at North Field," sending a photo of a product label, or receiving inventory alerts they have turned on.
2. How you opt in
Messaging is strictly opt-in and available only to CropStack account holders:
- In the CropStack app, on the Messages page, you check a consent box (never pre-checked) agreeing to receive messages, then request a one-time link code.
- You complete the opt-in by sending that code to CropStack from your own WhatsApp — so consent is confirmed from the phone being linked.
- Optional proactive alerts (such as inventory-change notifications and the weekly review) are individually controlled by you in the app and are off until you turn them on.
3. What messages you'll receive
Replies from the inventory assistant, confirmations of inventory you log, and any optional alerts you enable. Message frequency varies based on your activity and settings. Message and data rates may apply. We do not send marketing or promotional messages through the Messaging Service.
4. Opting out and getting help
Reply STOP at any time to opt out — we immediately unlink your number and stop all messages. Reply HELP for help, or contact cropstack.ai@gmail.com. You can also disconnect your number at any time from the Messages page in the app.
5. Information we collect for messaging
- Your mobile phone number and the consent you gave (what you agreed to, and when);
- The content of messages you exchange with the assistant, including photos of product labels you choose to send;
- Message metadata such as timestamps and delivery status.
6. How we use this information
Solely to operate the Messaging Service: verifying your opt-in, processing your requests (logging inventory, answering stock questions, reading label photos), delivering the alerts you enabled, honoring opt-outs, maintaining service records, and meeting our legal obligations.
7. Sharing — and what we never share
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All categories of information described above exclude text-messaging originator opt-in data and consent; opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the Messaging Service.
We use Twilio as our messaging delivery provider; Twilio processes message content and phone numbers on our behalf to transmit messages, and may not use them for its own purposes. We do not sell your personal information, including your phone number.
8. Retention and security
We keep messaging records for as long as your number is linked, plus what is needed for auditing, security, and legal compliance. Photos received for label identification are purged from our messaging provider after processing. Data is protected with encryption in transit and access controls; only your farm organization's authorized members can see the inventory records created from your messages.
9. Changes and contact
We may update this policy; the "Last updated" date above reflects the current version. Questions or privacy requests: cropstack.ai@gmail.com, or write to CROP STACK LLC, 1701 Heim Road, Mount Dora, FL 32757, USA.
